Saint Apollonia was one of a group of virgin martyrs who suffered in Alexandria during a local uprising against the Christians prior to the persecution of Decius.
According to church tradition, her torture included having all of her teeth violently pulled out or shattered.
O Glorious Saint Apollonia, faithful servant of Christ and courageous martyr, you endured suffering with unwavering strength, choosing to sacrifice rather than deny
your faith. Patroness of those who suffer from dental pain, we turn to you in our moments of distress, seeking your powerful intercession before the throne of God. Grant us relief from pain and patience in our
trials, that we may bear our burdens with faith and trust in the Lord. Saint Apollonia, guide us in moments of suffering, that we may remain steadfast in our love for Christ, and live our lives with the same courage
and devotion that you displayed in your final sacrifice. Through your prayers, may we find healing and strength, and may our hearts be filled with the peace of God's grace. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ,
our Lord. Amen.
